Every commission begins with the material. We select boards individually, reading grain and figure before a single cut is made, so the wood guides the design rather than the other way around.
Joints are cut to be seen. Mortise and tenon, dovetail, and exposed joinery aren't hidden — they're the quiet evidence of a piece built to be repaired, not replaced.
